Awesome Vendetta Mask
Moving to Canada was a lot more stressful than I imagined it would be. The trauma of moving shocked me so badly that I developed agoraphobia. I was a bit on the agoraphobic side before that but now I am trying to overcome a bad case of the basketcases.
The first two months, I could not leave the house for anything. Now I can get out a bit, but even the idea of going to a neighbour's house fills me full of anxiety and I have experienced a few mini-panic attacks. They especially are troublesome when I have caught a cold. For some reason I get them when I catch a cold and I have caught the first one of the season. It's not even cold yet.

There are a lot of illnesses going on in my neck of the woods. I used to have panic attacks really bad. They suck! I used to talk myself through them. Now when I start to feel really anxious I focus on something. Not a topic or anything. Just a focal point and then use that to take my mind off things. It didn't work to well at first but with practice I became a pro :) Are they worse with a cold because you are congested?

I think that's the reason. I have asthma, so I am always afraid of an attack. Two times the congestion turned to pneumonia, so I am a bit paranoid after that experience.

yeah I dont blame you. My daughter used to have problems like that and end up with pneumonia. She has scar tissue on a lung from it all. But we finally found a medication to work on her and we have not had anything more serious than a slight cold. I feel bad she takes so much medicine but it keeps her healthy so I will just by happy. She takes flovent, albuterol as needed, and claritin but the singulair was the one thing that made the difference for her. So we are sticking with it.

I am seriously familiar with albuterol. I had to take that on a nebulizer for an hour when I got pneumonia last and I still keep several dispensers of albuterol. And Flovent, too. 144mg and also Flonase. And panic medicine. I am a walking medicine chest.

Have you ever looked into singulair? My daughters primary use for it was allergies. But in researching it I see it is prescribed for asthma too. So I think she is doing so well because its helping with both issues for her. I also think she is doing so well on it that they lowered her flovent from 110mg to 44mg. I love flonase I use it myself. That is my wonder drug. I always had nasal issues until now. So you feeling any better since the original post?

Singulair. I'll have to ask my doctor about that one. Oh yeah, Flovent goes from 110mg to 44 mg (after I looked at my dispenser. Duh!) I have one of those whacky plastic tubes that I spray the Flovent into and if I breathe in too hard it makes a tooting noise. I am feeling better now that it's the fall and things have stopped being so damn hot!
