Awesome Vendetta Mask
I can't believe I forgot this one. This is the one that started people questioning the government: the crash of the "alien spacecraft" on the desert of Roswell, New Mexico.
Some facts about Roswell:
1. It is damn close to the Alamagordo desert or the White Sands Proving Grounds where the first Atomic Bomb, Trinity, was detonated.
2. It was 1947, the beginning of the Cold War.

Was the Alien Spaceship thing just a smokescreen for secret spying satellites and other things they were making out there? That's what I think.
Was the Cold War really a Cold War? Or did the U.S. Britain and the Soviet Union secretly carve up the postwar world into the pieces they wanted? Hmmmm. I think Stalin could have done better than appoint Kruschev his successor. That man was a boob in every definition that mattered. The infamous kitchen debate he conducted with Richard Nixon (a mere vice president) was embarassing. Was Kruschev Stalin's way of saying "Ha, ha" because Stalin knew he was being poisoned by that evil henchman Beria (who was immediately killed after his death) and thought, "If this is what you really think of me then here is my gift to you: fat, pasty-faced Kruschev!"
Sort of like when Emperor Tiberius appointed Caligula his successor because he knew he was "nursing a viper in Rome's Bosom?"

On the subject of Nuclear detonations: Did you know there have been 2,400 nuclear detonations from 1945 onwards? And over 3,500 Nuclear Power Plant Accidents? A big scandal is happening in Florida right now. Apparently a Nuclear Power Plant has been dumping radioactive debris out with the regular trash that has gone into landfills and has caused a spike in leukemia cases in children. This is in 2005!! You would think that people would know better than to treat nuclear waste this way. Just because it doesn't always glow in the dark down't mean it's not dangerous.
Bush plans on making Yucca Mountain the big dumping ground for Nuclear waste. That's only 65 miles north of Las Vegas. Sometimes Bush and Company are truly scary. What other bright ideas is that man's administration coming up with?
